The BG Sync Energy smart EV wall charger tethered 7.4kW with Wi-Fi and LAN EVWC2T7G-02 is a 7.4kW, 32A Mode 3 charger designed for efficient and intelligent home EV charging. It comes with a 7.5 metre tethered cable and a Type 2 connector featuring an auto-lock function for added convenience and security. A socketed version is also available for those who prefer a cable-free unit.
 
The charger supports Auto Solar Charging, enabling the use of surplus solar energy to power your vehicle. This helps reduce energy bills while promoting the use of clean, renewable energy. It also includes Tariff Sense, a smart energy management feature that connects to any UK energy tariff and provides real-time insights and control over charging costs.
 
Fully compliant with The Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, the unit offers full smart functionality through the Sync Energy app and supports OCPP 1.6J connectivity, allowing integration with back-office platforms. It also includes free lifetime over-the-air updates to ensure ongoing compatibility and performance.
 
The charger is built with safety in mind, incorporating an integrated 30mA Type A RCD with 6mA DC protection, along with open PEN conductor protection, which means no earth rod is required. Its robust design is rated IP65 and IK10, making it suitable for outdoor installation in a variety of environments.
 
Compact and easy to install, the unit measures 305mm high, 201mm wide, and 115mm deep, and it comes with a 3-year manufacturer warranty for peace of mind.
