The BG Sync Energy Smart EV Wall Charger EVWC2S7G-02 is a 7.4kW, 32A Mode 3 electric vehicle charger equipped with a Type 2 socket featuring an auto-lock mechanism for secure and convenient charging. Designed to support dynamic charging up to 7.4kW, it enables efficient energy use while ensuring fast and reliable charging for compatible EVs.
 
One of the standout features is Auto Solar Charging, which allows users to harness excess solar power to charge their vehicles. This not only supports sustainability but also reduces household energy bills by optimising the use of renewable energy. Additionally, the Tariff Sense feature connects to any UK energy tariff and provides real-time monitoring and control of charging costs, offering smarter energy management.
 
The charger complies fully with The Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, including Schedule 1 requirements. It integrates seamlessly with the Sync Energy App and supports OCPP 1.6J for full smart functionality and future-proof operation with free lifetime over-the-air updates.
 
Safety is a priority, with built-in 30mA Type A RCD protection and 6mA DC leakage detection, along with open PEN conductor protection, eliminating the need for an earth rod. It is also IP65 and IK10 rated, making it highly durable and suitable for outdoor use.
 
Compact in size 305mm (H) x 201mm (W) x 115mm (D), the charger comes with a 3-year manufacturer warranty, and a tethered version is also available for those who prefer a fixed cable.
